Rustic Peach Galette
There’s this quaint little neighborhood farmer’s market about 15 minutes from our house…and we found fresh zucchini, tomatoes, and a summer favorite, PEACHES! I’ve always wanted to try a peach galette, so I looked through a few recipes on Pinterest HERE. I made an adjustment to the recipe and used this recipe for a buttery pie crust HERE and it turned out wonderfully!
There is something so soothing about rolling out a homemade pie crust. It’s one of my favorite things to make, and I probably only make one or two a year. My family is a cookie kind of family. Pies and fruits don’t rank highly with my people…they prefer chocolate. But in the summer, I just can’t miss the chance to use fresh fruits.
And what’s so great about a rustic galette, is that you don’t have to be precise. You just slice and mix the fruit, then fold over the edges. It’s so easy to put together! (And I had enough crust to make two small galettes)

It turned out beautifully and my family loved it! We actually baked it and ate it for breakfast. Of course, it would be amazing as a dessert with a scoop of ice cream.
