How to Light Up Your Holiday
Hi there my friends! I am so excited to share my easy Christmas decorating ideas using Better Homes & Gardens Products from Walmart this month! I’m sharing a few of my favorites that you can purchase as gifts or to decorate your own home as you Light Up Your Holiday this season!

So, let me show you how to Light Up Your Holiday!! It’s very simple!
You add a beautiful GLOW with some candles…and create a simple Christmas scene. It doesn’t have to be expensive!
First of all, my inspiration for decorating my son’s room for the Christmas season was a candle! Have you ever been inspired by the scent of a yummy candle? Well, just take a stroll through the aisle of Walmart where all the Better Homes & Gardens Candles are! After sniffing a few, we decided on our favorite scent, SMOKED CARAMEL FIRESIDE and we went to work!
Since my son is now thirteen, we wanted to transform this storage area into a more “grown-up”, yet easy-to-keep-clean section. Before, he just had an open shelf, which didn’t help hide the clutter. I don’t know about you, but each year before Christmas we de-clutter his room. It’s a great time to organize, before getting a few new gifts.
And keeping with our SMOKED CARAMEL FIRESIDE theme…we used woods, greys, and blacks for his color palette. The Better Homes & Gardens Nine Cube Storage Organizer with Metal Base was the perfect fit for this wall, and offers plenty of storage! It’s also a nice spot for his TV. For storing Legos, hats, and video games, we found these Better Homes & Gardens Fabric Storage Bins in BLACK
We already had the galvanized bins, and they fit perfectly in the new organizer. Now, this area looks clean and everything is easily accessible. AND, this unit comes in many color options…which will match most furniture styles. We chose the Rustic Grey finish. His wall is Greyish by BEHR.
Now that we created this organized space…we chose a few Holiday decor pieces to make it feel festive. The Better Homes & Gardens Galvanized Candle Lantern was the perfect spot to place the SMOKED CARAMEL FIRESIDE candle and it just lights up so pretty! Then we added a mixed greens faux wreath and a few more candles, which creates the warm ambience that makes a room feel so cozy!
Another favorite Holiday item is the Better Homes & Gardens Driftwood Tree that we added to his dresser, paired with some vintage galvanized trees. He also chose the Better Homes & Gardens Tabletop Globe in Tan which can be displayed year-round.
And finally, keeping with the Caramel theme…we added some of our favorite yummy Caramel Popcorn to this beautiful Better Homes & Gardens Acacia Bowl and two snowmen mugs full of hot chocolate. And we threw the coziest Better Homes & Garden Leopard Faux Fur Blanket over his chair for curling up to watch his favorite Christmas movie, ELF!
He loved how I styled his room for this photo shoot! He said it really feels like Christmas now!
Of course, that makes my day!
And, I’m still ONE PROJECT to go with his room…he chose the Better Homes & Garden Industrial Pipe Curtain Rod for his curtains. However, I didn’t get it installed yet. That’s for another day…
