A Warm Welcoming Entryway
Welcome to my home friends! I’m so happy to share our warm welcoming entryway with you this month!
I’m sharing ways you can create a warm welcoming entryway for the upcoming Holiday months, or anytime of the year…using Better Homes & Gardens Products from Walmart.

This summer, you may remember when we added shiplap to our breakfast nook. Well, this is the little divider wall that separates it from the dining room. And we added the shiplap all the way around. This area is to the left of our back doors entering the dining room. So, I thought it was a perfect spot to create a welcoming entryway. My must-haves in an entryway are a place to sit, good lighting, and a place to hang or store items.
I wanted to create a shelf with a peg rack…so my husband used a piece of reclaimed wood and vintage corbels to build a shelf. I painted the corbels and peg rack to match all the whites. I used Magnolia Home in the color Shiplap. The actual wall color is Bistro White by Valspar. Then we added this French style bench for seating.
To create the warm, welcoming vibe…I added these three Better Homes & Gardens Grey and white woven pillows. The textures are so cozy for the cooler months. I love how the grey pillows have the embroidery that gives them a pretty French charm.
This area came together very nicely with all of the pieces working together seamlessly. I wanted you to see the below photos of the BEFORE….
It was a space that was always a bit of a challenge for me to decorate. I either used a cabinet or table to fill the space, and it seemed crowded or odd.
I believe lighting is so important in an entryway to create that nice, welcoming ambience when guests walk in. So, I found the Better Homes & Gardens Marble Lamp and Gold Wire Tea Light Candle Holders. I paired these with some vintage pieces I already owned, like the German jars and the gold photo frame. The pampas grass was free! I trimmed it from a huge bush from a vacant lot. I sprayed the stalks with hairspray to prevent shedding. I wanted to create a LATE SUMMER, EARLY FALL vibe…since it is still 104 degrees here in Louisiana.
It’s so important to have a nice spot to sit for taking off your shoes. I’ve linked a few great Better Homes & Gardens Benches above for your choosing. I love the contrast of a wood bench to the white walls. Of course, storage is a necessity in an entryway too. This Better Homes & Gardens Rope Storage Basket is the perfect landing spot for a pair of gardening shears, small umbrella, or flip flops needed as your heading out the door.
Adding to the ambience of my warm welcoming entryway, this Gold Lantern Pillar Candle Holder is so versatile. I can place it on the floor, or hang it from the peg hooks. And I absolutely love the Better Homes & Gardens LED Flameless Pillar Candles which come with a little remote to turn on & off! The pretty glow is perfect for this little space.

We enjoyed updating our space with these beautiful, yet affordable products! And it was easy to have the Better Homes & Gardens Products from Walmart shipped to my door! I love your new entry wAy, it’s so welcoming! Did not know you could spray that grass with hairspray, I live in Arizona and don’t think we have that stuff around here but I’m going to go look for something similar to use in my house.

I love your entryway!! I have a small space. A friend gave me a bench that has a place to put shoes underneath. I made a new cover for the Cushion to brighten it up. On the other side I have a better homes and garden cubby. So Now i have a place to put more shoes and drop stuff. And on the top I have a place to display items.
