Bedroom Refresh on a Budget
Here in Louisiana, February is usually one of our colder months…but the hope of Spring’s arrival is certainly on our minds. Spring time gives us DIY fever! So, we are saving up for a few big projects…one being our master bathroom. Until then, it was time to update our oldest daughter’s room and give it a fresh modern-chic style on a budget. She chose white, navy, and grey as her color scheme. And we set out to give it some glam using Better Homes & Gardens Products from Walmart.

She had already received the platform bed and rug for Christmas. So, it was time to accessorize and create a cozy space she can enjoy. Living at home while going to college and working at a nearby school…she needs storage and a comfy spot for homework.
The Better Homes & Garden Waffle Grey Comforter Set is the perfect bedding for piling all the throw pillows. We added the Better Homes & Garden Reversible Plaid Pillow and the Better Homes & Garden Diamond Macrame Pillow to give the bed lots of yummy texture. The gorgeous Better Homes & Garden Diamond Textured Pillow gives a nice contrast to the Better Homes & Garden 400 Count Hygro Cotton Sheets which are so soft! She wanted to create more floor space, so we turned the full size bed against the wall, more like a day bed style.
For storing books and records…she chose the Better Homes & Garden Fabric Storage Bins in Washed Indigo. These are such a perfect size for her built in shelves. They have little handles for easy reach and create that clutter free, organized style at affordable prices!
She wanted to create a space that was welcoming, so she chose a few lighting sources. We attached the Better Homes & Gardens 100 count Frosted String Lights around the top of her room (and these can switch to twinkling). A set of Better Homes & Garden Color Changing Orbs are great on her built-in shelves (and these can change colors). Of course, she needed a bedside lamp. The Better Homes & Garden Mirrored Sphere Lamp was the perfect fit with the Better Homes & Garden Grey Tweed Accent Shade. Although it’s not online, we also found the white Stamp Lantern in the outdoor patio area. It has a battery operated candle inside! The ambiance is so magical!
Our goal was to keep the style simple…so we chose the Better Homes & Garden Farmhouse Plank Wall Clock for the wall above her bed. She loves the little mix of rustic. We may add a shelf or artwork to this wall one day.
I also wanted to share the second view of her bed all made for sleeping, so you can see the sheets. She loves how soft and cozy the whole bedding set feels! Not to mention, the budget friendly prices of each piece!
Now, I must tell you…she’s a shoe girl! When she saw this Better Homes & Garden Grey Shoe Rack she wanted to display it near the window! It’s nice for storing shoes and displaying them at the same time. Afterall, this type of shoe rack is too cute to be stored away in the closet…a solution for functional and pretty storage! It is only $34!

What I like about this bedroom is…. everything!!! What beautiful choices you made here. Who knew that Better Homes and Gardens had so many sweet pieces to choose from! I love the navy/gray pallet. It would look great with pops of tangerine or peach !
