Happy April friends…welcome to my Spring Home Tour! Last week I did a mini Spring Tour on Instagram with a few friends, and I saved it to my Story Highlights, if you’d like to GO HERE TO WATCH IT. I wanted to follow up here on my blog to share pics of our home all dressed up for Spring. Flowers and trees have been blooming here in North Louisiana for a few weeks now. And in our yard, I have bridal’s wreath and a snowball hydrangea tree blooming like crazy. So, you’ll see lots of these blooms in our Spring home tour today. Come on in, I’m so glad you’re here!

You’ll see I’ve refreshed a few things by rearranging some furniture.

The pretty flower print is from Deann Designs HERE and has the perfect colors for our family room.

The faux herb wreath from The Accidental Farmgirl can be found HERE…and I found the pretty vintage door at an antique shop.

During the Spring season, I love to take time to do a little Spring Cleaning. Over our Spring break, I washed all of our slipcovers, small rugs, and bedding. This next weekend, I hope to get the drapes laundered as well. I just love the freshness of having clean linens. Get my favorite Fine Laundry detergent in Diva scent HERE

All of these pretty hydrangeas came from my snowball tree in my yard…it’s never bloomed so early in the year. I was very excited to be able to showcase them during my Spring home tour. And can we talk about the pretty purple wisteria? My MIL has this gorgeous vine that gets bigger each year. The smell is intoxicating.

I received the beautiful mixed eucalyptus garland from The Garland Guy HERE, and it’s a perfect way to add some greenery as a centerpiece down the farmtable. I added my own flowers for pops of color to the garland.

And I was so happy to add this handlettered scroll from Ali at Mustard Seed Beginnings HERE…

this is part of a verse from a Casting Crowns song, “Oh My Soul.” It comes from a verse in the Bible that has given me much encouragement to get through some tough times over the last couple of years.

Of course, Jovi B always walks through my photoshoots…she doesn’t mind interrupting a couple of photos.

I love the promise that Spring brings…everything coming back to life after a long season of quiet and stillness. I feel like so much of life is this way. There’s always waiting before blooming. Over on Instagram, I’ve mentioned that our lives have been full of brokenness lately. We’ve had a lot of unfortunate events… Our washer & dryer broke, our son broke his arm, broken AC, plans that didn’t work out, flat tires, leaky ceiling, and the list goes on. But God. You know He is the God of the hills and the valleys. And I always stick to this promise- He will turn our ashes to beauty. Just like winter turns into spring. It’s really a beautiful unfolding, isn’t it?
