Repurpose Design Series- Reveal Day
It’s reveal day for the Repurpose Design Series! Welcome to my blog 🙂 So, the challenge is to spend $20 or less on a used item to repurpose and transform into something wonderful for your home. In April, I transformed a paper mache’ rocking horse HERE. This time, I used a reclaimed piece of wood to create a Potager sign. We paid $2 for this piece of chippy wood. I printed and cut out the letters Potager, and traced them onto the board. Then I used Annie Sloan pure white paint to fill in the letters. What’s a potager, you ask? It’s a kitchen garden…consisting of herbs, vegetables, and flowers. The best gardening idea- growing fresh food right outside the kitchen to gather for cooking and serving 🙂 Our potting bench came from a little antique shop in a nearby town. The shop owners built it using a vintage window. I spend a lot of time here on our deck this time of year…planting herbs and repotting plants. I thought the Potager sign would be perfect for this spot. In addition, our vintage seed cart made a great display for the herbs. This is where we spend many evenings eating dinner together as a family. Of course, when summer hits, you’ll find us inside with air conditioner 🙂 Potager is pronounced (po-ta-jshay). This was such an easy and quick project, that cost just a few dollars. So, what’s in our Potager, you ask? Well, our garden is full of herbs and flowers. And I’ll share more about it real soon 🙂 Thanks so much for joining all of us for our second Reveal Day for We’ve been checking all of your #salvageswagger entries. And Oh WOW!
