Casual Outdoor Dining Space

It’s been such a different Spring this year! Our family has enjoyed this slow down to say the least. What is usually our busy season with baseball games and tournaments has become a time for reconnecting with one another. We’ve enjoyed our long talks on the patio deck and lingering at the table after dinner. I’d like to share how you can use Better Homes & Gardens Outdoor products to create a casual outdoor dining space.

I’m honored to be a part of the BHG Live Better Influencer Network! I love to represent a brand that has quality style at affordable prices. I’ll be compensated for my effort and time creating this blog post…however it’s no additional cost to you, if you choose to shop through the links provided (just click on each small photo). As always, my opinions are genuinely my own, and I hope you enjoy this post with ideas for creating a casual outdoor dining space!

First, we found a long, narrow table for this space…because it’s not wide enough for a regular dining table. This vintage door table came from a flea market years ago…and fit perfectly here for dining. For seating, we used a custom bench and these beautiful Better Homes & Gardens Wicker Camrose Farmhouse chairs. I love the details on these chairs with the cross backs and wicker seats. And, they’re perfect for casual outdoor dining and match all neutral decor.

I wanted to add some casual outdoor dishes to our table, so these Better Homes & Gardens Melamine Dinnerware Set was the perfect addition. I love that they have a fancy vibe with a little sparkle…making for a beautiful table setting. It comes in a set of twelve, with plates, salad plates, and bowls. I was inspired by herbs for this tablescape, and made a little lavender pot for each place setting. It smells so good!

I surrounded the table with other herbs, too. I used rosemary and oregano in the centerpiece. I love using vintage galvanized buckets for all the plants on our patio. The mix of rustic with elegance is one of my favorite design styles. I think the linen ruffled tablecloth is a nice contrast to all the galvanized metal and metal chairs.

And, our favorite addition to our patio deck this spring is the Better Homes & Garden Hammock Swing Chair. The tassels are such a pretty detail! This chair is the most comfortable, relaxing spot to sit and read or sip coffee in the mornings. After dinner, we often move over to this sitting area and have dessert or roast marshmallows for smores’. Our Louisiana weather has been gorgeous most of April…and we’ve been taking advantage of every minute to sit outside and enjoy our family time at home.

Of course, I love to make casual dinner time a little special on some days by adding cloth napkins and fresh herbs or flowers. But most evenings, we don’t fuss about the dishes or centerpiece…we just enjoy good conversation and lingering a little longer as the sun sets.

I’ve added more Better Homes & Gardens outdoor products for you to browse, just in case you’d like to complete the look I’ve created here on our patio. Simply click on the small photos, and you can shop the products!

Once again, I had so much fun creating this casual outdoor dining space for our family…and it’s simple to do! I love the product quality and affordable prices! Please leave a comment below and let me know how you are spending your evenings with your families this Spring. Thanks so very much for stopping by my blog today. My passion is to inspire you to create a home you LOVE! I hope you are enjoying your time at home. Stay well my friends. Be safe. Many blessings to you all.

I love your porch so welcoming and relaxing. We are loving the warm days and cool evenings here in Tennessee. We set up our deck with vintage rod iron furniture and colorful cushions and hung bistro lights to sit under. We spend our evenings there under the lights. Grillin and chillin.
