A New Rug in our Bedroom

I never really thought about putting a rug in our room…it already has carpet. But when I had the chance to
collaborate with Boutique Rugs I decided to choose one for our master bedroom.
I chose this beautiful grey with floral design.
It’s definitely one of the prettiest I’ve seen! Just look at that raised design!
One fabulous feature of this rug is the distressed look…it has areas of lighter grey toward the center, and darker grey toward the edges of the rug. Even the whites are lighter toward the center.
If you’re interested in this rug…it is called Tibetan TBT-2301 and it’s shown here in our room in the 7×10 size.
THE BEST PART!! At Boutique Rugs website HERE, all rugs are 30% off! It’s a great Holiday weekend to shop for a pretty addition to your room!
The sunlight streaming in on the rug just makes it even more pretty! But let’s talk about how it feels…it’s so soft, like barefoot walking soft 🙂 If you “do the rug test”…where you pinch the rug, it doesn’t shed at all. I’m very impressed!
One other thing that was nice about this rug, is that the borders/edging lay flat as soon as we unrolled it from the packaging. All corners have stayed down and it makes for easy walking across the rug through the room.
And I should let you know, the vintage wooden bench was a purchase from an antique shop, and is a perfect match for this rug…as is all of our bedding, which is a mix of PomPom at Home and Bella Notte Linens.
I thought you may want to know about the HUGE SALE at Boutique Rugs right now. Go take a look through their site, you will want to try one for yourself 🙂
Happy 4th of July! I hope you spend some time relaxing and enjoying time with your family!
Thanks so much for visiting my blog today!

I just fell in love with your house on Home Bunch, and I followed your IG account and blog. I really love all your vintage and handmade items, and this rug is gorgeous! It makes me think of lace. One thing I wanted to ask you about, though. I’m planning to use Valspar cabinet enamel on kitchen and bathroom cabinets. Did you brush it, roll it or a combination of both? Thanks
Hi Rebecca! Yes, we used a combination of rolling and brushing the paint on the cabinets…it depended on the surface area. The smaller areas of course needed brushing. Hope that helps 🙂
Hi, Becky!
Would you say the rug is a true gray/silver color, or is it more of a green-gray?
I saw a reviewer of a similar rug in the Tibetan series say their rug is more of a sage green rather than a metallic looking gray.
Thanks for your help!

It seems that someone saw a house they really liked on a website called Home Bunch, and as a result, they started following the owner’s Instagram account and blog. They expressed appreciation for the vintage and handmade items in the house, specifically mentioning a beautiful rug that reminds them of lace. magicrugs.com
