Our Summer Home Tour
Welcome to our home! I’m so happy that you’re visiting today! It’s been an amazing week of bHOME Summer Open House Tours! And I’m honored to be included. So, come on in, it’s my pleasure to walk you through our home. You’ll notice we’ve decorated in a “vintage country farmhouse” style. 
It’s almost summer, and our gardens have been enjoying all of the rain we’ve surprisingly gotten. Everything is blooming…so, you’ll be seeing lots of cut flowers right from our own yard 🙂 
Our dining room is the first area to greet you. This is where our family eats many meals together and the sunlight is always streaming in. My husband designed and built the farm table, bench, and mantle. The walls are Cotton Fluff by BEHR. 
One of my favorite vintage pieces is this chippy blue cabinet. I’ve filled it with my growing collection of ironstone. 
From the dining room, let’s move into the kitchen. 
Our kitchen is probably my favorite room. We remodeled it a couple of years ago…with custom cabinets, farmsink, and DIY reclaimed wood vent hood. Our island was purchased at Canton Trade Days. 
From the kitchen you can see into our mudroom. This is the spot where we drop our bags and shoes…and is usually pretty messy. 
Our front door actually opens into our family room. This is where we watch movies together, eat fresh baked cookies, and snuggle with our Jovi B 🙂 
From here, we’ll head into the master bedroom. 
The walls are Silver Drop by BEHR. We used picket fence boards to hang curtains…which is an IKEA throw cut in half. 
The barnwood headboard was built by husband.
