A Vintage Spring Buffet

Hey my sweet friends! How is your weekend?  Lovely, I hope…it is a typical March here in Northern Louisiana- rainy and cool. Are you in the mood for a few spring photos?  I dressed our dining room buffet table in fresh vintage spring attire 🙂 red buds grainsacks barn door buffet Now, if you are new here, you may not know the story of this buffet table…we bought it from a vendor in Canton, TX at the First Monday Trade Days.  It is made out of an old door, with the little vintage doorknob still in place.  It once was a dark wooden top, however I gave it a coat of white and distressed it. ball jars w red buds  buffet w red buds  Remember my hint of this barn door?  Well, for now, it resides here behind the buffet to add to the vintage vibe…one day I’ll show you the actual front of the door, it is just as wonderful.  We have big plans for that barn door, but because it weighs 942 lbs, it may remain right there 🙂 On account of, Mr. B of B does not enjoy toting it around the house on various occasions. sap bucket grainsack pillow The red buds are blooming gloriously around our little country town.  And can you believe, out of 16 acres on our farm, we have ONE red bud tree?  ONE. This is one tree I need to plant more of.  And hydrangeas.  And roses.  And lavender.  And I’m sure that is not all. red bud blooms spring buffet I also wanted to say thanks to Tracey at French Larkspur for inviting me to guest post last week.  You can see an outdoor spring photo shoot HERE. Today I’m joining Donna at:  SNS Vintage wooden pedestals And check out my new sponsor: the one and only Laurie Anna’s Vintage Home.   Come back soon for a fun giveaway from Christine Marie Studio!

so lovely!! and I am a bit jealous you even have one redbud…we have wanted one for years…but the price tag on that tree isn't 'friendly'…funny though, if we would have gotten it as a tiny thing, by now it would have been glorious…(that's not really funny though is it) lol

Here's to a great week filled with rich blessings…you always bring a smile to my face do you know that?
(btw; saw your feature on Tracey's blog – totally cute)

I love your 942 lb door and can only imagine how many times you have asked Mr. B of B to help you tote it around. It is fantastic.

Your red buds are beautiful in your galvanized bucket. And, what about those candle holders? Have I seen them before? Love them…I also see a new pillow in the bistro chair. I think it's new, at least. You do know my eyes and mind are going a mile a minute when I am looking around, don't you?

  24. Your photography is inspiring. I can almost smell those beautiful pink blossoms! These are very welcome images here in the northwest, where it's still grey winter. Thanks for sharing and making my morning!

  25. Lovely vignette! The redbuds(our state tree) are just now blooming! They give such a lovely contrast to things that would, otherwise, look a bit bare…especially the landscape!!

Your candlestick are gorgeous!! I recently sold a very similar pair in my booth here in north Louisiana and wondered if those are them! I bought them at Round Top last fall and had a reallly hard time deciding whether to sell them or not. Either way, they're lovely! -Maria

I love your Redbud. My husband just planted one for us the other day. They are in the woods all around us but not in the woods behind my house, so I know how you feel.
