A New Kitchen Table

Hey my friends! Mr. Buckets has been at it again…he built another table 🙂 My brother gave us a huge stack of gorgeous reclaimed wood from old crates. We’ve had several projects in the making from this old wood. One being, our new kitchen table: Here is the way it used to look, with the old painted table top: After removing the old table top, Mr. Buckets replaced it with wide planks. He used the same legs, and just rebuilt the top and base. Here it is with a coat of weathered wood stain from Home Depot. And this is it after staining, adding white wash, and sanding it down. We also added 2 coats of Poly on the top for easy cleaning. It goes much better with our farmhouse style, don’t you think? We are really enjoying the new table. Add some flowers and zinc pots for a little centerpiece… And on to the next project 🙂 I’ll be sharing more real soon. I’m joining in Farmhouse Friday and Furniture Feature Friday Have a wonderful weekend 🙂 Blessings Becky C P.S. I’d like to thank Max from Pocket Change, where they featured my blog on the Be @ Home, Best of the Web series. Very sweet 🙂
