On my first trip to Canton Trade Days in 2008,
I found this:
My husband asked, (as all husbands do)-
“Where will we put it?”
“In our kitchen as an island, of course!” I replied.
And guess what,
he loves it almost as much as I do:)
(He’s learning to
shut up trust me with the decorating thing)
I store all small appliances on the shelf below,
so a burlap curtain helps to conceal the uglies.
It has the cutest chubby legs and lots of chippy paint.
Lots and lots of chippy beadboard.
This is what it looks like with some fresh flowers from the garden,
and it’s all clean.
But you know, my favorite part of this island is not really the way it looks…
But what it has brought to our family.
You see, this is what’s usually going on around our kitchen island…
Which is way more fun than fresh flowers.
Thank God for kitchen islands:)
