Isn’t Valentine’s Day just the sweetest of Holidays? Although I don’t usually do any entertaining for Valentine’s, I do enjoy setting a simple table for a romantic dinner. I also try to make Valentine’s special for my own family with at least a yummy dessert. I’ve said it many times, and I’ll say it again…I LOVE setting a table! For this little romantic table, I used the palest of pink tulips and ironstone.  And the beautiful heart bay leaf wreath smells so good! DSC_0283 DSC_0284 DSC_0281 This isn’t our kitchen or dining room table…it’s just a small enamel farm table, that I thought would be a nice little setting for a romantic dinner. I simply added the blue French shutter door as a backdrop, bistro chairs, and a few favorite vintage finds. DSC_0293 We received this pretty China when we got married 24 years ago. And I can remember being in LOVE with each little piece. It’s crazy, but we still use it. I’ve never put it away in a cabinet. The blue is a perfect match to the blue French shutter door. DSC_0276 DSC_0287 The vintage flax table runner was made by my sweet friend…and will be available in our booth in Canton, Texas (Canton First Monday Trade Days) next weekend Feb. 2-5th. We will also have a few heart-shaped bay leaf wreaths! If you are looking for a fun weekend…come shop with us and find something for your Valentine! DSC_0273 And before you go…take a minute to leave me a comment…I’d LOVE to know how you entertain for Valentine’s Day! 1. Hi, I love that you used the enamel top table and those sweet folding chairs. Table for two is what it's all about, right? We don't do alot for Valentine's day itself, but my husband always makes a romantic dinner for the two of us. Love your tulips in the watering can!

  2. Becky this is fabulous. Love that blue shutter back drop. Just so charming all of it. Very pretty.
    Hugs,
    Kris

Oh I adore you lovely Valentine's post!! Everything is so sweet. I live in Tennessee and will be in Killeen and Groesbeck, TX and would love to purchase a bayleaf heart and a table runner but alas we won't be there till the weekend of the 25th. So sad about that!!!

I came from Wood Grain Cottage and I've not seen your blog so what caught my eye to open was the little chair!! Oh I do hope you have a love dinner or a sweet snack or a friendly lunch at your little table. It's so lovely!! My sister when she lived nearby would get out a pretty napkin, pretty little plate and delicate tea cup for our tea when I'd stop in. We ate less cookies for we relished the fun setting!!! Usually she had picked flowers from her yard too. Enjoy!!

  5. What a charming, light, easy & pleasant tablescape for wonderful St. Valentine's Day dining. I see a brunch there after sleeping in on the Sunday before: quiche Florintine, mimosas in tall pilsner glasses, strong coffee, scones and jam and some fruit……….

    Hugs.

  6. Oh this is just so beautiful! Those pink tulips would make me so happy!

  7. Pam says:

Becky, I love the bay leaf heart! Where do you set up at Canton? I hope to go on Thursday. Thanks!

  8. Becky, I so love how you built this setting apart from your main dining tables and the shutter and wreath backdrop give it the perfect grounding! Lovely how the soft tulips look against this wonderful backdrop and the gentle details on the table are utterly charming!!
