Mixing Vintage With New

Hey my friends! I hope  you are having the greatest week ever! Here in Louisiana, it’s been raining…with temperatures in the 70s, it feels like spring! I wanted to show you how I mix vintage with new in the kitchen… and my new little vintage hanging cabinet.  I found it at a local Antique Mall at a great price.  It’s chippy and very old. coffee cabinet We hung it above my “coffee cart”.  Remember when I used this little coffee cart in my January Table Post?  Well, this is usually where it resides, holding the coffee maker.  I added the vintage scale to hold the cream & sugar. And the little cabinet houses coffee mugs. coffee cart scale  I can’t recall sharing my kitchen curtain idea with you, so I thought I would today.  I purchased a white throw from IKEA and hung it from my chicken feeder.  I left one side open, for now, for a nice view into the farmyard 🙂 chicken feeders I hung the white throw with little hooks from IKEA, folding the top 12 inches over to make a ruffle.  The hooks fit well onto the feeder. kitchen curtains  Over my kitchen sink, I used two burlap sacks attached to twine by vintage clothespins.  And the burlap sink skirt is an old coffee bean bag. burlap sinkskirt And in my previous post I shared some ways to use vintage cutting boards when entertaining.  Here, they are stored standing against the wall on the counter.  And vintage pitchers, or new ones, can serve as great organizers in the kitchen. blue pitcher I like mixing vintage with new.  The two round cutting boards add a nice contrast to the old. apples w stove Mulo bottle stool plant stand Sitting on the kitchen table, I have bottled water handy in a vintage box.  In my previous post, it was used to store napkins. water bottles Well, thanks for visiting me today!  I’m so honored you would stop by 🙂 I’m sharing with Thriftin on a Thursday Farmhouse Friday Blessings Becky C
