Old Wood Frames

Hey my friends!
On a trip to my husbands’ Aunts’ farm in Texas, guess what we found?
An old shack, covered in wonderful, gorgeous wood!
So, we took the shack apart to use the wood for projects.
And here is our first project reveal:
My personal carpenter, Mr. Buckets of Burlap,
framed our bathroom mirrors using the old wood.
Let me show you around the master bathroom…
What used to be plain boring mirrors,
is now kind of fancy with a great patina.
To add a touch of spring, some fresh blooms from my popcorn plant.
A little white tray holds bathroom essentials on the counter.
I got this cross at LaurieAnna’s Shoppe last week.
It’s holding some of my favorite jewelry.
The mirror view of the other side of the bathroom…
The bathtub area got a little sprucing up with new simple curtains.
My vintage scale found a new home.
And here’s a view into the “potty room”
I wish I had a before photo to show you what a difference
the old wood frames made for this room.
My carpenter always comes through for me πŸ™‚
and
Thanks for hosting these great parties, ladies πŸ™‚
Thanks for taking time to visit and I appreciate each of you for following along.
Have a wonderful day πŸ™‚
Blessings

I also love the cross jewelry holder. I am in dire need of a jewelry organizing system right now, I have SO much it's hard to keep it nice without it getting tangled!

  33. Great job! I love the taupe and white together!

  34. Gorgeous. I just love how peaceful and relaxing your bathroom looks- perfect when a mommy needs to get away for a bubble bath:) I have one question- when you are collecting old chippy wood, don't you worry about lead in the paint? I love the look of chippy items that are authentic (not "made" chippy by vendors, etc) but I do worry about safety with 5 little ones around.

  35. Ann says:

The two mirrors over the vanity is beautiful. So much character in one small room. The scale is lucious. Everything is beautiful.

I couldn't believe it when I saw your post. We have a dark hallway that is not huge. Recently my husband placed a very large mirror on one wall, for obvious reasons. I have been thinking hard about what to use for a frame and on Tuesday found old floorboards stacked by the bins at work. Of course I loaded them all into my car, after checking it was ok, and plan to make a frame for the mirror out of them. I hope it looks half as nice as yours when finished.

  51. I just love your bathroom! the colors -everything!
so carzy for the finish on your mirrors!!
