Sweet and Simple
Hey my friends!
As I was shopping at the grocery store today, I saw this little bundle of daisies
smiling at me 🙂
So they jumped in my basket, and I brought them home for my table.
I’ve been itching for some outside garden time lately,
as this winter gets old fast.
Some fresh flowers can make a girl feel better!
Of course, I could not help notice how the fresh fruits “matched” my flowers.
So, I went to work creating a little tablescape.
I filled my vintage bottle with a sparkling pink punch.
Then added cherries and lemon slices.
Wouldn’t this be a fun table for hors d oeuvres and finger sandwiches?
A few girlfriends getting together to catch up and share stories…
Maybe even a sweet little Valentine’s Day Brunch?
My red-striped grainsack tablerunner fits right in.
The little cups and plates came from my mom.
A very sweet, but simple flower.
Doesn’t this make you wish for Spring?
I say, bring it on!

How sweet this table looks. I love your flowers in that wire holder. So pretty.
I actually got lovely white flowers today also. I have been under the weather all day and my husband got me a bouquet of flowers. He knows I love white flowers so he did great. Cheered me up greatly.
My daughter got me a bag of peanut M&M's. Tasty but not what I needed when I am working out and trying to lose a little weight. Sweet girl thinking of her mama's sweet tooth.
Well Becky, yes…it does seem that great minds think alike. My flowers just about jumped into my basket too. Isn't funny how a few flowers can make you feel a little better? 🙂
Isn't it amazing how flowers can brighten our day? I was tempted to buy tulips this week.

I love this Becky- the touches of yellow are so fun! I am hosting a girly gathering next month so this is giving me some great, great ideas!! 😉
p.s. I have faux tulips in my place right now but I really need to get some fresh ones! And those daisies are my fave (I love the wild ones that grow around here in the summer, can't recall their real name……)

We have had such a tease of summer here and my flowers are starting to bloom, I know it won't be long before the rain comes again. makes me want to garden..Looking at your table is hoping for the sun to stay a little longer.

Your girls get-together set up is so lovely – it definitely brings spring a little early.
I too wanted to bring some spring inside and just picked up this fabulous orchid and its absolutely amazing (I actually just blogged about it)!
I think having some flowers definitely helps keep the winter away 🙂

Flowers always perk me up and I love simple daisies! They do make me think of spring when I see them come up in my garden.

I love daisies, they are so sweet and cheerful. Your post is like a burst of sunshine in an otherwise dreary day. I have a glass snack set and I use mine when I host women's luncheons or a gathering of my girlfriends.

Becky, I love this! Fresh flowers in winter always perk me up! And daisies are a favorite – the only flower I used in my wedding 26 years ago!!

A really fun and easy way to make a light pink drink that is delicious . . . put 2 Celestial Seasonings tea bags into a 2 litre of 7UP or sprite. Keep it in the fridge for two hours. It is a little fuzzy when you open it . . . so open it over a sink. Delicious and looks very fancy.
Thought it would look beautiful on your table.
