Dried Orange Garland

  Hey sweet friends!  How was your Thanksgiving? Relaxing, I hope 🙂 We enjoyed a day with family eating a delicious Thanksgiving dinner! orange garland And we got into the Christmas spirit early this year… adding fresh greenery and making some homemade decorations during our Thanksgiving break together. orange garland-barndoor I’ve always wanted to try drying orange slices. So I followed a recipe found HERE. It’s very simple, and makes your home smell so good! orange garland-greenery I made a dried-orange garland to hang, and saved a few to embellish wrapped gifts. orange garland-kitchen I think the garland looks pretty with the sun shining through in front of a window. orange garland-sink Thin slices of oranges sprinkled with a bit of sugar… orange slices Bake in the oven & attach each to a long string of twine… orange garland-twine And you have a sweet garland for the Holidays. orange garland-sink window Our family just adores this time of year… we have had such fun decorating and doing homemade crafts together.   10. Everything looks so beautiful! I love both garlands! One year I made dried apple and orange slices for a mini tree and I loved the homespun feel to it.

  26. Becky, I'm hoping to make homemade garland again this year, but never did I think of drying orange slices! What a beautiful touch. We have plenty around here and I think I might just have to give it a try. Lovely pictures…as ALWAYS. Blessings!
