Before I plant this hydrangea, I wanted to enjoy it inside for a few days. Aren’t hydrangeas the prettiest flower? My favorite color is purple. Or, maybe it’s white. Well, I guess I like hydrangeas in every color. Have I ever shown you this view from our kitchen? It’s looking into the dining room. You can see both chandeliers from here. There is a half-wall that separates the two. I don’t really know why…but I thought I’d share that with you 🙂 I have this large white hydrangea bush that can take sun…and it’s blooming like crazy right now. So, I cut a few to enjoy inside. Have you heard of using the spice Alum to help the blooms stay fresh longer?   It’s a very inexpensive way to keep fresh cut (or store-bought) hydrangeas from wilting so quickly. You simply cut the stem at an angle, dip the cut-end into the alum, and place it in the vase. I have definitely noticed mine stay fresh for several more days 🙂 Did you know?
